The proposed Barnadivane project is located in the townlands of Lackareagh, Garranereagh and Barnadivane (Kneeves), approximately 3km to the north-east of Coppeen. In April 2019, An Bord Pleanála granted planning permission for a 6 turbine wind farm and associated substation under PL04.248153 & PL04.248152. The permissions were subsequently quashed by order of the High Court and were remitted back to the Board for consideration under appeal case numbers PL04.308210 and PL04.308208. In early 2021, due to the elapse in time, the Board requested updated assessments be provided on the files. Fehily Timoney & Co., the project consultants set about gathering the necessary surveys to prepare an updated EIAR and NIS for the proposed project. This website has been created as a single source of project information to be shared with the community.
